ST. JUDE STUDENTS CREATE ADVENT WREATH-The students of Saint Jude School have been focusing on a season more attuned to prayer and preparation than one of presents. The focus in the school has been on the season of Advent, a time when Catholic Christians are called upon to prepare their hearts and minds for the coming of Christ at Christmas. The Third Grade class created giant Advent wreaths with each students making their own candle that completed the sentence, “I can let my light shine by…” Students reflected upon how they can make a difference in their world, and continue to add the flames each week Advent progresses.
