St. Jude’s Catholic Church services are Saturday: 4 p. m. and Sunday: 8:30 a. m. and 11 a. m.

This year the Solemnity of Mary is not a Holy Day of Obligation. The Mass schedule is: Sunday, December 31 at 4 p. m. at St. Jude; and Monday, January 1, the Solemnity of Mary, 8 a. m. at St. Mary’s and 9 a. m. at St. Jude’s.

The Parish Office will be closed December 29 through January 1. The office will reopen Tuesday, January 2 at 7:30 a. m.

Religious Education for K-th grade will not be held on December 31 and January 1. Classes will resume on January 7/8.

Adult choir rehearsals will resume after Christmas beginning on Wednesday, January 10 in the church. New members are always welcome. Contact Joe Dubinski at 570-474-6315, ext. 247 with any questions.

All St. Jude Church contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31, 2017 in order for your tax deductible contributions to show on your 2017 statement.

“Walking With Purpose” meets Thursdays from 7-8:30 p. m. in the school cafeteria. The next meeting is January 4. Call or email Pam at pamurb3@gmail.comor 570-474-6315, ext. 228 with any questions.

The youth of the church will be attending the “Life is Very Good” Rally on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at George Mason University in Virginia. On Friday, the 19th, the group will attend Mass and Rally again at George Mason and then to Washington, D. C. to stand up for life. On Saturday, the 20th, a tour of the museums will be held with Fr. Jeff Tudgay in addition to a tour of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and celebrate Mass in one of the cathedrals. The group will return Saturday evening. The following food items are needed for the Mt. Top Food Bank: boxed soup mix, noodles, cream soups, baked beans, jelly, peanut butter, canned fruit, tuna, mayo, pudding, Jello, sugar, hot chocolate and coffee.
