The St. Jude School community presented a touching Christmas Lessons and Carols to parents and friends recently at St. Jude Church.

The evening began with the students processing in with candles and led in song by representatives from each grade. Throughout the evening “lessons” or reflections were read by Sister Ellen Fischer, principal, Father Joe Evanko, pastor, and students from throughout the classes. Carols were sung by various soloists and interpreted by liturgical dancers and nativity actors.

The theme of the evening was meant to center the school community on the importance of journeying with Mary and Joseph towards Christmas, not just showing up on Christmas Day expecting our hearts to be fully ready to welcome the Baby Jesus.
