Heard a brief update on the sewer authority from Johnson, who said the group would meet quarterly instead of monthly next year, and residents’ monthly usage fee would stay at $70. Councilwoman Carolyn Lauer said she had heard the fees would go down, but Johnson said the money the sewer authority had to pay in the settlement for repairing roads after the sewer repair project “precluded reducing it, but it would’ve been only a dollar or two per month anyway.”
Announced the reorganization meeting at 7 p. m. Jan. 2, with council’s regular monthly meeting immediately following. Thereafter, council meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month for the remainder of the year.
