The weekend Mass schedule at St. Mary’s is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

Second Grade Parents Meeting will be held Sunday, January 28, during class time. Please meet in the second grade class room. Questions: Mrs. Vencak 570-379-3034

Confirmation Students Sunday classes are 9:30-10:45 a. m., and Monday classes are 6:30-7:40 PM. Please attend on your scheduled day. It is permissible to attend on the alternate day if you are sick or have other unexpected conflicts.

Seventh Grade Class Schedule: The Seventh Grade Retreat has been rescheduled to March 11. Students will now have classes on 28/29, 2018.

Altar Servers Needed: An Altar Server Class is planned in the near future. All youth who have received their First Communion are invited to serve at the Table of the Lord. Families decide the Saturday or Sunday schedule. Please call the parish office to sign up for the class.

Youth Group will meet Sunday, January 28, in the dining room. Agenda will be in next week’s bulletin. Parents are welcome at all meetings. Questions: Molly 262-4628 or 868-5855, or our Facebook page.

Winter Weather Advisory: For everyone’s safety, classes will be cancelled if we have severe weather conditions. Parents should use their judgment on attendance based upon their local road conditions in the event classes are not cancelled. Daily Mass at Saint Mary’s will be cancelled if Crestwood SD delays or cancels classes.

The Knights of Columbus invite everyone to their annual Sweethearts’ Dance on Saturday, February 10, at 6 p. m., in the social hall. Tickets are $20 per person and include dinner, beverages, and live music. Tickets will be available soon from any Brother Knight.

Saint Theresa’s Valentine Luncheon-Members of the Guild will have their annual Valentine Luncheon on Sunday, February 11, at Sand Springs Country Club in Drums, at 1 p. m. Total cost of the luncheon is $25. There will be an optional $5 edible or drinkable exchange. Please remember your Secret Pal gift. If you are unable to attend please bring your gift in advance to the rectory. RSVP to Molly by February 4, with your choice of soup or salad. Payment may be made in advance or brought to the luncheon.

Sweets for Shut Ins: Parishioners are invited to donate a sweet treat for our shut-ins; cookies, brownies, candy, individual bags of pretzels, or anything you think appropriate. The Altar & Rosary will package the treats and deliver them on Saturday, February 17, at 10 a. m. Please bring your items to the social hall at that time or on Friday to the meeting room.

Nite at the Races-February 24! Letters were mailed to homes this week. Please return your horse purchase sheets by February 19, to have your horse included in the program. Forms may be placed in the offertory basket or mailed to the office. You may include a table reservation request with your return. Please do not cut your sheets. For business owners and sponsors

there is an opportunity for advertising in the program. A business card is $25 and a full page is $50. Call the office for more details.

Help is needed to plan and set up for this evening. It’s not too late to be on the committee. Volunteers are also needed the evening of the event. If you can help please call the parish office., or see Bill Magnotta after Mass.

Altar & Rosary Members are asked to make, bake, or bring a dessert item for the Nite at the Races. Items may be dropped off Friday in the meeting, in the hall (before/after Stations), or Saturday.

Saint Mary’s Parish Office Hours-Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a. m. –3 p. m. -or by appointment. In case of emergency please dial 570-474-6315 and follow the prompts for emergency. The on call priest will return your call typically within the hour.

Food Collection: St. Mary’s is continuing to collect non-perishable food items for our local families in need. Can goods (veggies, soup, fruit), peanut butter & jelly, Mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, crackers, granola, cereal, etc. Thank you!

Food Distribution: Parish families who could use an addition to your food pantries are encouraged to call the parish office.

St. Jude School is accepting registrations for the 2018-2019 School Year. Open House is Sunday, January 28, from 12-2 p. m.

St. Jude School is a Catholic Elementary School serving grades Pre-K (3 and 4 year old) through 8th grade.
