Lillian G. Dotter Hinkley, 94, Drums, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at St. Luke’s Villa, Wilkes-Barre.
Lillian was born in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 31, 1923, to the late James F. and Emma C. Wilbert Dotter.
She worked at Nardone’s Bakery, Carey Avenue, and Boscov’s. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she was a part of the Women’s Club. Lillian loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, of whom she was very proud of.
Lillian is survived by her loving son, James Hinkley and his wife, Terry; two granddaughters, Sarah Pawlowski and Kerri Fey, both of Mountain Top; a grandson, Dr. Matthew Hinkley, Gainesville, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren, Liam, Lucy and Evan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James H. Hinkley; three brothers, James, Edward and Fred; and two sisters, Samantha and Mildred “Roe.” Lillian’s family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at St. Luke’s Villa for their exceptional care and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5 to 7 p. m. Friday at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be private at a later date.
