Jesse L. Fine
Loved To Build, Create

Jesse L. Fine, born Sept. 15, 1986, left this Earth Jan. 20, 2018, following a relapse of his substance use disorder.

Jesse was much the much-loved son of Howard “Sam” and Jacqueline Fine.

A 2005 graduate of Crestwood High School, Jesse worked many years for Bruce Fine Construction. Most recently he was employed by A&R Supply.

Jesse loved to build and create with his hands. He had a passion for reading, drawing and all things old. From restoring furniture to bottle collecting, he saw the beauty and value in things other did not want. He loved cars, having bought and sold many, settling finally on the Honda Civic he recently finished.

Jesse was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Mountain Top.

He was a longtime member of Narcotics Anonymous, a fellowship of friends who provided unconditional love and support. His family is ever grateful for the fellowship.

Preceding him in death was his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Carter.

He is survived by his parents, as well as his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Fine; uncles, John Carter and Bruce Fine with wife, Jen; aunts, Debra Kishel and husband, Ron, and Angelique Thomas and husband, Paul; and cousins. His furry companion, Chico the cat, will go to a loving home with his lifelong friend, Tim Cruikshank.

The family asks that you please pray for those still struggling in their illness, that you find kindness and compassion for them when they are at their most unlovable.

Funeral services were held in Christ United Methodist Church, Mountain Top.

McCune Funeral Service, Mountain Top, assisted the family with the arrangements.

The family asks that you kindly donate in Jesse’s memory to the Luzerne County SPCA, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, or the United Methodist Committee on Relief at www.umcor.org.
