Crestwood Superintendent Joe Gorham visited Building Blocks Learning Center in Mountain Top last week to read to the PreK and Kindergarten classroom during “Read Across America Week”.
“Read Across America Week” is a national celebration of reading inspired by Dr Seuss. On March 2, Building Blocks held a special celebration in honor of Dr Seuss’s birthday with a fun Dr Seuss dress up day!
Building Blocks Learning Center believes that instilling a love of reading in children leads to success in school and success in life! Each day last week, the teachers planned activities in their classroom that focused on reading, storytelling, and illustrations. Special members of our community were invited each day to come to the classrooms and read to the children.
Building Blocks Learning Center encourages parents to take a moment each day this week to create a new habit to read a book with your child -when children become avid readers, the possibilities are endless!
