LOCAL CUB SCOUTS RECEIVE THEIR RELIGIOUS MEDALS-A Scout is reverent and shows this my being faithful to his duty to God. During Scout Sunday Mass on February 11, six Cub Scouts were presented with their religious medals by Reverend James Alco at St. Jude Church. Connor Hillard, Christ United Methodist Church, Pack 106, was presented with his “Parvuli Dei” (Child of God) medal. The Parvuli Dei” program was developed by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting for Bear and Webelos of the Catholic faith. The purpose of the program is to help Scouts discover the presence of God in daily activities as members of a family, church and community. Five Tiger Cub Scouts from St. Jude Parish, Cub Scout Pack 60: Henry Muller, Collin Brenner, Raymond Mazur, Miles McShea and Jack Truschel IV were presented with their “Light of Christ” religious medal. The “Light of Christ” program help Scout develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as a person and friend.
