First Communion Families Retreat is scheduled March 10 from 12noon to 5 p. m. All students must attend with a parent.
Seventh Grade Confirmation Retreat, “Why Be Catholic” is scheduled Sunday, March 11. Students should arrive between 1:45 and 2 p. m. in St. Jude School cafeteria. Retreat includes 6 p. m. Mass. A Teen Mass will be celebrated March 11 at 6 p. m. Following Mass, students in grades 7th-12th are invited to bowling at Chacko’s. Cost is $15 and includes bus transportation, 2 games or bowling, sshoe rentals, 2 slices of pizza and soda. Permission slips must be handed in by Friday, March 9. The 2nd St. Jude Fish Fry is planned Friday, March 23rd from 4 to 8 p. m. Pre-order tickets is encouraged. Walk-ins will be taken on a limited basis. Take out or sit down options available. Dates will be announced when tickets can be purchased through Parish Office and after Masses.
A Grandparents Program will be held Sunday, March 18 at 12 noon –1 p. m. in the cafeteria. Grandparents are invited to bring their grandkids to learn about faith and family together. To register contact Carrie Granszol at email@example.com
Wedding Anniversary Mass-The Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, D. D., J. C. L., Bishop of Scranton, and the Office of Parish Life invite couples celebrating their 25th or 50th anniversary in 2018 to a diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on June 10, 2018. The event includes a 2:30 p. m. Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral followed by a reception. Save the date: Calling all High Rollers and Queen of Hearts-Casino Night will be held April 7, 2018 at 6 p. m. in St. Jude School cafeteria. Vacation Bible School will be held June 18th-22nd. Registration and volunteers are now being taken. Children ages 3 years old through entering 5th grade are welcome to sign up online or at the Parish Office as campers. Students entering the 6th grade and up and all adults are needed to serve as volunteers and may download the volunteer registration or pickup at the office. The following items are needed for the Mt. Top Food Bank: boxed soup mix, noodles, cream soups, baked beans, jelly, peanut butter, canned fruit, tuna, mayo, pudding, Jello, sugar, hot chocolate and coffee.
