SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB INITIATED AT ST. JUDE’S

SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB INITIATED AT ST. JUDE’S-One of the newest extracurricular activities at St. Jude School in Mountaintop is the implementation of a Sign Language Club. Under the direction of Mrs. Ann Papciak, certified teacher of the hearing impaired, the club is open to students in fourth through eighth grade. Their program of study includes American sign language vocabulary, information of deaf culture, and applying American sign language to music. The club meets weekly and has performed at the Christmas program and during Catholic Schools Week. Shown, front from left: Mary Grace Eckert, Molly Dugan, Jared Bozinko, and Abe Hagenbuch.
