BOY SCOUT TROOP 60 VISITS FEDERAL COURT HOUSE

BOY SCOUT TROOP 60 VISITS FEDERAL COURT HOUSE-Boy Scouts from Troop 60 Mountaintop participated in a program at the Max Rosenn Federal Courthouse Wilkes Barre on March 22, 2013. The Honorable Judge Thomas facilitated an interactive discussion regarding how this courthouse serves the local community and the nation, the Declaration of Independence, the U. S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, Amendments to the Constitution, the functions of the three branches of our federal government, how U. S. citizens are involved in each branch, the importance of the system of checks and balances, and the Constitutional rights and obligations of U. S. citizens.
