Wright Twp. Park Program

Wright Township Park announces registration for the Summer Recreation Program will be held on Saturday, June 15 from 3 to 5 p. m. The program will be held Monday through Friday from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. beginning Monday, June 17 and ending Friday, July 26. The program is open to children ages 6 to 12 and the fee schedule is as follows: Wright Township residents: $50-first child, $40-second child, $30-third child. Non-Wright Township residents: $70-first child, $55-second child, $45-third child. If you have any questions, please contact the Township Office at 474-9076.

Fairview Summer Park Program

The annual Summer Park Program at Fairview Memorial Park will run through Friday, August 16, 2013 from 10:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. Cost is $50.00 for the first child; and $40.00 for each thereafter. You can register with the Fairview Twp. Secretary at the municipal building Monday through Friday. Signups can also be done at any time during the summer camp program. There will be swimming, arts and crafts, sports, outdoor games, nature hikes, science; field trips and much more. Please join us this summer at Memorial Park!

Mt. Top Diabetes Support Group

The Mt. Top Diabetes Support Group will be held on Thursday, June 20 from 7 to 9 p. m. in St. Jude’s cafeteria. Topic for this meeting is” “Making the Most of Your Doctor’s Visit” & Open Forum. Guest speaker will be Brian Johnson, DO. Call Triangle Pharmacy at 474-6590 for information.

Bass Fishing Tournament

Bass Fishing Tournament will be held June 22nd 2013 at Blytheburn Lake on Blytheburn Rd. in Mountain Top. Boats in the water at 6:30 am and out at 11 pm. The fee is $40 per team. The tournament is limited to 10 boats. Reserve early. This is a fundraiser for the Blytheburn Lake Association. For more information call 570-868-6895 or 570-678 5261.

Mt. Post 781 District 12 Meeting

On June 23rd at 2pm the American Legion, Mountain Post 781, will hold the District 12 meeting. During that meeting Venture Crew 461 will be presented an award for the PA Outstanding Crew of the Year. Vacation Bible School

Christ United Methodist Church presents this year’s Vacation Bible School “Everywhere fun Fair” Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 at 175 S. Main Road, Mountaintop from 6 to 8:30 p. m. Children ages 3 (potty trained) through 6th grade are all invited! You can pre-register by calling 474-6060. The cost is $1 per child and 1 can of juice per family. Donations would be appreciated.

Stack Fast Camp

A cup stacking camp will be held at Mountaintop Family Church June 24-28 from 9am to 12noon. This camp is for students who have completed grades 1 to 6 and like cup stacking. Support Group

Support Group for Anxiety, Stress and Depression will be held Tuesday, June 25 at 6:30 p. m. at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 316 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop. Email supportgroupmt@aol.comwith any questions.

Flea Market, Bake Sale

Lookingforsomebargainsandgoodfood? St. Martininthe Fields (the little stone church on the corner of Church and Nuangola roads) Annual Flea Market and Bake Sale is the place to visit on June 29. Stock up for your summer reading in the Book Nook. You are sure to find just the book for that lazy day at the beach or the hammock in your back yard. We have close to a thousand books to peruse, something for everyone. Searching for just the right “treasure” it could be at our Flea Market. Hunger for some tasty bake goods?
