Caroline Jones Receives Girl Scout Gold Award
Caroline Jones Caroline has been a Girl Scout for 12 years and has also earned her Silver and Bronze Awards. She is the daughter of Janet and Bill Jones of Mountaintop.

Caroline Jones of Troop 33319 recently earned the Girl Scout Gold Award. The Gold Award is the highest and most prestigious award that a Girl Scout can receive.

Her project, “Read to Succeed”, promoted the importance of childhood literacy and brought awareness to the critical role parents can play in their children’s future success. As part of her Gold Award project, Caroline sorted and distributed over 5,000 books to children and parents at numerous community based agencies throughout the Wyoming Valley. She also developed and gave a number of presentations to inspire children to read.

Caroline is entering her senior year at Holy redeemer High School. She is involved in a number of activities at St. Jude Church and is a member of Holy Redeemer’s National Honor Society, Chorus, Theatre and many club activities. She enjoys reading, volunteering, participating in leadership programs, public speaking, and performing piano and guitar.
