SCIENCE SAFARI PRESENTED AT ST. JUDE SCHOOL

SCIENCE SAFARI PRESENTED AT ST. JUDE SCHOOL-Students at St. Jude School recently enjoyed a hands-on museum experience in the school gym. The program, entitled Science Safari, was sponsored by the Parent Teacher Guild, and presented by Mr. Will Hatch from the University of Texas. Mr. Hatch is associated with the STEM Education Coalition, which encourages support in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The students were able to visit twelve science-based exhibits including making giant bubbles at the Bubble Tower, a pressure demonstration entitled Airways, Bernoullis air exhibit, Bucky the skeleton, a domino experiment in forced motion, a gravity wall, examine nine specimens on a 200X microscope, an electricity game to teach conductivity, and a geoboard for fun with elastic bands.
