Mountaintop Resident

June E. Brudnicki, 74, Mountaintop, died peacefully Aug. 20, 2013, at Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Hanover Township and was the daughter of the late Milton and Ellen Hughes.

June was a graduate of Hanover Township High School with the Class of 1959 and was employed by Dana Perfumes, where she worked for a few years.

She is presently survived by her husband, Eugene; son, Robert, Mountain Top; and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn.

Funeral services at the convenience of the family.

Shirley E. Gouse

Devoted to Family

Shirley E. Gouse, 87, Mountain Top, died August 24, 2013 at Smith Health Care, Mountain Top

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Alice (Miller) Keiner.

Shirley crocheted often but her

true devotion was raising, taking care of, and spending her time with her family.

Shirley was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her son John Gouse.

She is survived by her husband William Gouse , Sr.; her children, Diane Swartwood, Larksville; William Gouse, Jr., and his wife Adele, Cape May Court House, N. J., and Shirley Schappell and her husband Rick, North Myrtle Beach, S. C.; her daughter-in-law Sharon Gouse, Dallasl her sister Louella West, Newark, Del.; her 10 grandchildren and four great -grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Jude Church, Mountain Top.

Raymond Fontenova

World War II Veteran

Raymond Fontenova, Lakeville, Pa., died August 23, 2013 at Smith Nursing Center, Wright Township.

Born Jan. 1, 1926, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Dominick and Dora Domico Fontenova. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. He was a former brakeman for many railroads in New York for more than 40 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He and his wife, the former Wanda Iori, would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Oct. 16, 2013.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Robert and his wife Deborah Fontenova, Hasting-on-Hudson, N. Y.; Raymond and his wife Laura Fontenova, Mountain Top; grandchildren, Geoffrey, Christopher Fontenova, Jennifer Nybro, Melissa Fontenova and Andrew Hallowell; great-grandchildren, Ava and Henry.

He was preceded in death by a sister Eleanor Fontenova.
