Crestwood Cross Country Teams Sport 1-1 Records
CRESTWOOD HARRIERS EARN AWARDS-Several members of the Crestwood boys and girls cross country took part in the Cliff Robbins Memorial High School Invitational on Aug 31st. Two of the team members earned awards for their performances. Taking 21st in the girls 5k race was senior Allie Kachel with a time of 21:40, while junior Nick McGuire was 20th in the boys 5k race in a time of 18:05. Also competing for the Comets was Steve Ross and Sean Gavin. Shown are Allie Kachel, head coach Fran Gough and Nick McGuire.

The boys cross country team went 1 and 1 at the Comets season-opening home meet on Sept. 4. Crestwood beat MMI Prep 17 to 44 while coming up short against Dallas 19-42. Top runners were Nick McGuire who was second overall in the meet with a time of 18:30, Brian Knorr was second for the Comets in 20:20, with Steve Ross third on the team in 20:36. Also, Raj Patel was fourth for the team in 20:42 and Chase Riccio fifth for Crestwood in 21:34. The boy’s overall record is 1 and 1. The girls cross country team went

1 and 1 at the meet beating MMI 15 to 50, while coming up short against Dallas 16-46. Top runners were Allie Kachel who finished first for Crestwood and was fifth overall in 22:30; Kailee Traficante was second for the Comets in 23:45; Megan Knorr was third for the Comets, while Ashley Paranich was fourth and Kate Snipas fifth. The girl’s overall record is also 1 and 1.
