The first of several enrichment programs sponsored by the Parent Teacher Guild of St. Jude School featured the internationally acclaimed author Lee Bacon. He is the creator of the fictional character Joshua Dread. Joshua’s parents are supervillans, which means that it is difficult for him to lead a normal life –especially after he discovers he has superpowers.

Bacon’s first book Joshua Dread was followed by Joshua Dread and the Nameless Hero. Both books include wild adventures, unexpected twists, killer robots, zombies, and Joshua’s exciting world of new friends, new enemies, and new challenges.

Bacon’s program featured a Power Point presentation about his books, how he got started in writing, and how he develops his ideas. He also conducted a question and answer period with the students and signed copies of his book that students had brought to the assembly.
