ART AUCTION TO BENEFIT TOURETTE SYNDROME

ART AUCTION TO BENEFIT TOURETTE SYNDROME-Greg Rinehimer, a senior at Crestwood High School, is hosting an art auction with work created especially for raising money and awareness for Tourette Syndrome. Tourette Syndrome (TS), which has affected Greg’s life, is a neurological disorder characterized by repetitive, stereotyped, involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics. As part of Greg’s senior project at Crestwood High School, Greg gave all high school art students a presentation last Spring about living with Tourettes. Greg asked students to donate art pieces for auction and over 100 students answered the call. Art includes drawings, paintings, pastel work, and some 3-D pieces of pottery done by Crestwood High School students. Some of the art will be for auction and sold to the highest bidder, while some pieces will be offered through a Silent Auction. The art auction will be held Friday, November 8th at 7 pm at the Mountaintop Family Church, 209 S. Mountain Blvd. next to Weiss Shopping Plaza. Doors open at 6 pm for early viewing and admission is FREE. Please come out and support Greg. Shown are Paige Martin, Samantha Wandeloski, Jennifer Hoffmann, Greg Rinehimer, Lisa Blackwell, Winiffer Rodriguez, Mrs. Brozena, HS Art Teacher holding artwork created by Mikayla Skapyak.
