AARP Driver Safety Classes To Be Offered At Crestwood HS

Now is the time to sign up for a Basic AARP Driver Safety Course that will be given at Crestwood High School, 281 So. Mountain Blvd, Mountain Top.

The 2-part Basic Course will be held on Tuesday, November 12, and Thursday, November 14, from 6:00 p. m. to 10:00 p. m. It is for individuals who have not completed a 2-part Basic or Refresher Course, within the last 3 years. Attendance at both sessions is required.

Those who complete this Course, and are 60 years of age, or older, may be eligible for a five percent car insurance discount, for the next three years. The cost for each Course is $14 per person, or $12 for AARP members, and needs to be renewed every three years.

Students should bring pens, a driver’s license, a check payable to AARP to the first class, and their AARP membership card, if they belong to the organization. Those wishing to participate should call Les Loomis, the instructor, at 570-885-0572 soon, as the class is limited to twenty-five individuals.
