Five candidates were on the Crestwood School Director ballot for four open positions in the November General Election Tuesday November 5.
Incumbents Norb Dotzel and Eric Aigeldinger were re-elected and new comers Maureen McGovern and Randy Swank will take their seats in December. Peter Strecker came up short by 323 votes in his first bid at elective office.
McGovern garnered the most votes of the five candidates, who had cross-filed on both the Democrat and Republican ballots in the primary. McGovern’s total was 2777 (24.02%) followed by Swank with 2594 (22.24%), Dotzel with 2420 (20.93%) and Aigeldinger with 2028 (17.54%) and Strecker had 1705 (14.75%). McGovern, Swank and Dotzel had double nominations. Aigeldinger was on the Republican ballot and Strecker on the Democrat slate.
