St. Jude’s PresentingAction Epic For Greater Glory January 26

In the exhilarating 150 minute action epic, For Greater Glory, an impassioned group of men and women risk everything for family, faith and the very future of their country –as the film’s adventure unfolds against the long-hidden, true story of the 1920’s Cristero War –the daring people’s revolt that rocked the 20th century North America.

The Pennsylvanians for Human Life “Annual Respect Life Prayer Breakfast” will be held Saturday, January 25 at 9 a. m. at St. Mary’s Center, 320 Mifflin Avenue in Scranton. Holy Hour and Confessions are being held at St. Jude Church from 7:30 p. m. until 8:30 p. m. every Monday. Parishioners are invited to consider spending time with the Lord at Eucharistic Adoration.

His Excellency Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera, and the Office for Parish Life wish to invite couples celebrating their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary in 2014, to a diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, June 22 at 2:30 p. m. at St. Peter’s Cathedral followed by a reception. The Social Action Committee is collecting Pack-N-Plays, baby swings, high chairs, bath tubs, gates, and clothes up to 2 years old for Pennsylvanians for Human Life. Anyone who would like to donate one is asked to contact the Parish Center ext. 250 and leave a message.
