Dr. And Mrs. Arthur Jankowski
Amanda Marie Baab and Arthur Matthew Jankowski were united in marriage October 12, 2013, at Saint Jude Parish in Mountain Top. Reverend Gerald Shantillo officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Susan Baab of Mountain Top. She is the granddaughter of George L. Baab and the late Dolly Baab of Mountain Top; and the late John and Catherine Jackson of Wyoming.
The groom is the son of Adam and Krystyna Jankowski of Mountain Top. He is the grandson of Antoni Jankowski and the late Cecylia Jankowski of Krakow, Poland; and the late Stefan and Zofia Pietrzyk of Bronczyce, Poland.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, John J. Baab. She chose her sister, Amber Baab as maid of honor. Erin Lee served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Marena Rasmus, cousin of the bride; Kendall Baab, sister in law of the bride; Kristin Sweeney, friend of the bride; Olivia Jankowski and Nicole Jankowski, sisters of the groom. Isabel Baab, niece/godchild of the bride; Adrianna Brink, cousin/godchild of the groom; Sophia Sweeney, honorary niece of the bride, served as flower girls.
Michael Richwalder, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Buczynski, Patrick Buczynski and Dan Nygren, friends of the groom; John Baab and Kevin Baab, brothers of the bride; Sal Shandra, cousin of the bride. Carter and Jack Lee, cousins of the bride, served as ring bearers.
Musical selections were performed by Nicole Rasmus and David Baloga. Readings were given by Christopher Mudrick, cousin of the bride and Monika Brink, cousin of the groom.
The bridal shower was hosted by the mother of the bride at Capriottis in McAdoo. The rehearsal was hosted by the parents of the groom at Kevin’s Restaurant in Kingston. Following the ceremony, an evening cocktail hour and reception was held at Capriottis in McAdoo.
Both the bride and groom graduated from Crestwood High School. The bride graduated from King’s College, where she earned a Bachelor
of Science degree in Business Administration. She additionally earned her Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America. She is employed as a Gemologist at Baab’s Jewelry Showcase, Mountain Top.
The groom graduated from Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, where he earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He is employed as a Clinical Pharmacist at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Jankowski honeymooned in the Dominican Republic and currently reside in Mountain Top.
