Crestwood’s Chriz Fazzini scored his 1,000-career point in the Comets’ 71-31 win over visiting Coughlin on February 5.
Fazzini, along with teammates Brian Markowski and Robbie Hopkins, each scored 12 points in the win. Josh Malkemes followed with eight, Josh Amosson had seven and Cole Wasco finished with six.
Also contributing to the scoreboard were Luke Casey with five, T. McCune, three, while Adam Klimchock, Lance Blass and Jason Dotzel each chipped in two.
The visiting Comets dominated the Patriots of Pittston Area on February 7, walking off the court with a 58-42 win.
Crestwood took a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and were up by 16 at the end of the half. In the third, the Comets increased their lead by four more, putting the game out of reach for the Patriots.
Brady Gallagher led the Comets with 18 points, followed by Fazzini who also scored in double digits with 13 points.
Helping out on the scoreboard were Casey with nine points, Wasco has six, Markowski added five, and Hopkins chipped in one.
Crestwood (11-1) was scheduled to take on undefeated Hazleton Area (12-0) on Tuesday, February 11 at home. The game could determine the Wyoming Valley Conference Division I championship.
The Crestwood girls basketball team defeated host Coughlin, 63-31, in a game played February 4. Maddie Ritsick was the game-high scorer with 27 points. Rebecca Rutkowski followed with 18. Kassie Ferdinand added nine.
Also putting points on the board were Dallas Kendra with five, Abbie Macko, three, and Taryn Wojnar, one.
