Oooo-weee! Emmanuel’s Youth Group is servin’ up a deee-lightful Mardi Gras Brunch after our worship service on March 2.
You can set yo’self right down and enjoy a lip-smacking meal of Broccoli Quiche, Quiche Lorraine, chicken fingers, tater tots, genuine red beans and rice, fresh fruit, and, of course, a piece of King’s Cake (and if you find the plastic baby hidden in it, you get to make the cake for next year’s brunch).
The Fellowship Hall will be all gussied up with beads and baubles and the air will be filled with the zydeco vibes, Bourbon Street blues and Creole rhythms. There will be games for the kiddies and big-uns, too. Plus, we’ve got all the feathers, beads and glitter to concoct your own special, individual, one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras mask. All this fussin’ is to raise funds for the Youth Group mission trip this summer. They’ll be looking for your donation to help them on their way, so open up your hearts (and wallets and purses) to help them help others.
Come see, and bring along everyone you know to our Big Easy celebration. Laissez les bon temps roulez! (Let the good times roll!)
On Sunday mornings, we start with Sunday School at 9:00 am for group time and then divide up for lessons, games and crafts. We then meet at 10:30 am for Worship Service. On March 2, our greeters will be Judy Cybulski and Barb DeLuca and our liturgist will be Wayne Mast. Come, join us for worship this Sunday. We welcome everyone into our Father’s house.
