The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5. We will again prepare light suppers to share some time together prior to our services on the Wednesday evenings during Lent. These light meals will be shared in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm. We will then gather at 7:00 pm in the church for service. A sheet is on the table in the narthex for those who will volunteer to prepare meals. Our Lenten meals and services are open to everyone and we welcome you to come and join us. Whether you can come for supper or not, please gather with us for worship.
Throughout the Holy Season of Lent, many people focus on becoming closer to our Lord. Some people do this by giving something up. Others spend more time reading the Bible and praying. Still others give more of their time and talents. There are so many options to bring your life closer to God’s way. Whatever your means, we hope that you will be faithful in your search and we welcome you to join us at Emmanuel.
The Kids Choir will continue to practice at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays during Lent. We will just keep things moving so that we will be finished by the time Evening Worship Service begins at 7 pm. We have lots of fun learning new songs and singing ones we already know. So if you like to sing, loud and strong, come join us. More kids means more fun!!
On Sunday mornings, we start with Sunday School at 9:00 am for group time and then divide up for lessons, games and crafts. We then meet at 10:30 am for Worship Service. On March 2, greeters will be Gene and Janice Broyan and our liturgist will be Sandy Kleger.
