The weather is getting warmer and there’s so much to catch up on after such a cold and snowy winter. With all there is to do, fixing lunch is certainly one less thing we want on our to-do list. The folk at Emmanuel understand that and have a way to help out. Let us prepare your lunch for you. We are selling delicious hoagies, Italian or turkey, for $5.00 each. We’ll have them ready for pick-up on Saturday, March 22, at noon, just in time for a quick lunch. Or a leisurely one, if you’re done with all your chores. To order, please see Ron Rinehimer or any other member of the consistory or call the church office at (570) 868-5675. If the secretary is not in, please leave your order on the answering machine and we’ll get it made, fresh and ready for you. Bon appetit!
Come join us on Wednesday evenings during Lent for supper and worship. We will share a light meal in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm and then gather at 7:00 pm in the church for service. A sheet is on the table in the narthex for those who will volunteer to prepare meals. Our Lenten meals and services are open to everyone and we welcome you to come and join us. Whether you can come for supper or not, please gather with us as we worship our God and Savior, reflecting on the amazing gift of salvation offered to each of us.
The Kids Choir will continue to practice at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays during Lent. We will just keep things moving so that we will be finished by the time Evening Worship Service begins at 7 pm. We have lots of fun learning new songs and singing ones we already know. So if you like to sing, loud and strong, come join us. More kids means more fun!!
On Sunday mornings, we start with Sunday School at 9:00 am for group time and then divide up for lessons, games and crafts. After Sunday School, we meet at 10:30 am for Worship Service. On March 16, our greeters will be Connie Davis and Donnie Myers and our liturgist will be Dave Horensky. Come, join us for worship this Sunday. We welcome everyone into our Father’s house.
