Rev. JP Bohanan, Pastor, Christ United Methodist Church, 175 South Main Road, welcomes everyone to join us for Worship on the Lord’s Day: 8:30 and 10:45 am.
Nursery is available for infants and toddlers from 10:30 during the second service, however all children are welcome to stay during worship. Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month and is open to all. The First Sunday of the month has also been designated Food Bank Day. Please bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Mountain Top Food Bank.
Sunday School and Confirmation Class take place, at 9:30 am, right after the first service. There are classes for ALL ages, including adults. The group will tackle some exciting and thought-provoking topics in fun and interesting ways. Bring your questions, thoughts and ideas so that we can learn together and enjoy some fellowship with each other.
Our church-wide spiritual experience for Lent will run through April 6. The group will be using The Prodigal God by Timothy Keller, a marvelous book we are selling. Christ United Methodist Church will be hosting a community-wide Easter Egg Hunt in Memory of Judi Stanton, on Sunday, April 6th at 2:00 pm, on the church grounds. Everyone is welcome. Come out and join the fun!
March/April worship dates: One Great Hour of Sharing is March 30; Holy Communion will be served on April 6 & May 4. Palm Sunday is April 13, services at 8:30 and 10:45; Holy Thursday is April 17 with a service at 7pm; the Presbyterian Church of Mountain Top will join us for this service. Good Friday Community Service, midday at Presbyterian Church of Mountain Top. Good Friday Cantata & Tenebrae April 18 at 7pm; Easter Sunday is April 20, services at 8:30 & 10:45.
If you are interested in joining any of our choirs, please contact the church office. Weekly practices for Choir are Thursdays at 7 pm (Adult), 8:15 pm for Adult Bells, 6 pm for Youth Bells, 7 pm for Cherub Choir, and 7:15 for Children’s Choir.
If anyone has suffered a loss at any time and would like to attend a Grief Support session, these sessions are open to the community and are free of charge. Please call the church office for more information.
