St. Martin In The Fields Schedules Fish Dinner, Lenten Services

St. Martin In The Fields has several Lenten special events and services on the calendar.

On Friday, April 11, St. Martin’s will hold a fish dinner. This includes fresh haddock, French fries, coleslaw, and homemade cake. The price is $10 for age 12 and above, $5 for 5 to 11, those under 5 are free. There will also be a bake sale with plenty of fresh baked “goodies” and our famous Welsh Cookies.

Following the dinner, there will be a Holy Eucharist service followed by the Stations of the Cross service. This service begins at 7:00pm. It is a very moving service and if you have not been to the Stations you should try to come.

Saturday morning April 12th at 10:00am we will be making palm crosses to distribute on Palm Sunday. If you would like to learn how and help, or just want to watch you are welcome to join us.

During Holy Week there will be several special services. The first will be Maundy Thursday

at 7:00 pm, April 17th. At the end of this Holy Eucharist service we will strip and wash the altar. The vestments for this service are white.

On Good Friday at 7:00 pm, April 18th, there will be a Holy Eucharist service. The vestments for this service are black.

Easter Sunday, the Sunday of Resurrection, the Holy Eucharist will be at 10am.
