Teen Mass To Be Celebrated April 6At St. Jude’s Church

The next Teen Mass will be held Sunday, April 6 beginning at 6 p. m. in the church. Following Mass, there will be a teen night for students in grades 8 through 12 which will include games, open gym, food, and more. The evening will end at 8:30 p. m.

Parishioners are invited to join the Social Action Committee at St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre on Thurs, April 3 from 9 a. m. until 1 p. m. Carpools leave from the Parish Center at 8:45 a. m. Call Jody or Artie at 570-710-0137.

St. Jude‘s Parish is inviting parishioners to gather each week to reflect on the call to conversion. In Conversion: Following the Call of Christ,” Fr. Robert Barron helps us to understand this call by examining six stories in Scripture. Each session is designed for approximately one hour. The majority of the session will focus on Fr. Barron’s DVD. There will also be a short presentation on one of the secrets of confession, based on the book 7 Secrets of

Confession by Vinny Flynn. It is not

necessary to read the book for this presentation.

Journey of the Magi -New Wine Needs New Skin -You Have to Let Go of Your Chains -2 p. m. on April 13 at St. Jude’s, 7 p. m. on April 15 at St. Mary’s. Discussions and DVD will not be held at St. Jude’s on April 17 due to Holy Thursday.

Anyone interested in serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion during the Triduum (Holy Thursday, April 17 at 7 p. m.; Good Friday, April 18 at 3 p. m.; Holy Saturday, April 19 at 8 p. m.) is asked to contact the Parish Center. Ministry assignments will be filled on a first-come first-served basis.

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion are invited to attend the Holy Thursday liturgy on April 17 at 7 p. m. and be part of the “Honor Guard” for the procession with the Blessed Sacrament to the chapel of Reposition in Father Nolan Center. Please contact the Parish Office if attending.

Easter flowers will be sold after all Masses at St. Jude Church on April 12 and 13. Proceeds will benefit the Youth Ministry. Selection will include tulips, hyacinths, mums, and lilies.

High School Students will present the Living Stations on Palm Sunday, April 13, beginning at 7 p. m. Practice for stations will be Sunday, March 30 and Sunday, April 6 from 3:30 p. m. until 5 p. m. and Tuesday, April 8 from 7:30 p. m. until 8:30 p. m. Parishioners are invited to come and witness the youth of the parish bring Sacred Scripture to life.

Weekday Masses at St. Jude’s are Monday through Friday at 7 a. m. and Wednesday at 12:10 p. m. Weekday Masses at St. Mary’s are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8 a. m. Saturday Vigil Masses are 4 p. m. at St. Jude’s and 5:30 p. m. at St. Mary’s. Sunday Masses are 7:30 a. m., 9 a. m., 10:30 a. m. and noon at St. Jude’s and 9 a. m. at St. Mary’s.
