Gardening Workshop Planned
GARDENING WORKSHOP-Cindy Beck and Linda Gillies are shown with plants that will be for sale at the Master Gardeners’ Spring Into Gardening Wokshop that will be held at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus in Lehman on April 26. A flea market will also be featured.

Penn State Extension Master Gardeners Cindy Beck, Kingston Township, and Linda Gillies, Shickshinny, recently arranged plants for the plant sale to be held at the Master Gardeners’ annual Spring into Gardening Workshop at Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus, Lehman, Sat., April 26, from 8:30 am to 3 pm.

A flea market will also be held, along with sessions on organic gardening, hoop houses and cold frames, selection and care of shrubs, pollinator gardening for bees, gardening myths, landscape design, vegetable gardening on a budget, and edibles among the flowers.

David Orbin, Ph. D., retired Penn State Professor of Botany and Master Gardener, will be the keynote speaker discussing how to recognize and control invasive plants. Master Gardeners will be available at the information table to answer your personal gardening questions.
