Turn in your unused or expired or expired medication for safe disposal at the Wright Twp. Police Dept., 321 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Any over the counter, controlled substance or prescription drugs can be submitted. Tablets, capsules, ointments, creams and liquids will be accepted in its packaging. No need to take medicines out of the original package or container. This event is anonymous and no questions are to be asked by law enforcement personnel to anyone submitting medications. Sharpies and syringes will not be accepted due to safety reasons.
St. James Lutheran Church, Hobbie, will hold a Family Style Roast Beef Dinner on Sat., April 26 from 3 to 7 p. m. Tickets/adult takeouts available at the door. The cost for adults is $10, children (5-12) is $5 and children 4 and under are free.

Making A Difference Ministries will feature National Country Gospel Singer Josh Oldaker, Sole performing artist in concert will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Sunday, April 27 from 6:30 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. The church is hosting this concert and is open to the public. There is no cost for admission. Their will be a CD signing and a meet and greet after the concert.

3rd Annual Golf Tournament sponsored by the White Haven VFW 6615 Auxiliary will be held on Friday, May 9, at Sand Springs Country Club, Drums. Proceeds will benefit Fisher House, a nonprofit home for families of Veterans being treated at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and VFW Auxiliary Projects. Shotgun start at 11 a. m., registration starting at 9 a. m. Cost is $80 per person –$320 per foursome. Deadline to sign up is May 1.
