Jeffrey Rockman, Esquire, who reviewed the General Release and explained its terms, represented Thomas.

Rice Township spent a total of $54,062 for attorney fees in 2013. Solicitor William Higgs was paid a total of $27,841.91. Attorney Donald Brobst, Rosenn Jenkins and Greenwald was hired in February 2013 in addition to the attorneys hired by Rice Township’s insurance carrier PIRMA. Brobst billed a total of $24,717.22 for litigation support for the Thomas suit in 2013. The budget for legal services in 2013 was $8,000.

Rice Township paid $41,639 for property and liability insurances in 2013 including the annual premium paid to PIRMA.
