Tucker said that he received calls about this letter and that there is no phone number for people to contact the Sewer Authority, “Is there an official phone number where people can call and ask questions?” he asked. Johnson replied not that he knows of and any one with questions would have to attend a Sewer Authority meeting.
It was also noted that the borough is working with Consultant Jack Varaly in updating the zoning ordinance to address the fact that they now have sewers and a mandatory hook-up ordinance. A new fee schedule for zoning issues was also proposed.
Planning liaison Regina Plodwick is also participating in an update of the Luzerne County Hazard Mitigation plan representing Nuangola.
Finally, Kaiser reminded that the Recycling Center is open the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. He asked residents to be aware that only plastics # 1 and 2 are acceptable.
