The last Religious Education class is May 4, unless you have class work to make up, or you are a second grade student. Those classes end on May
11. First Holy Communion is on May 18.

The next meeting of the Altar & Rosary Society is Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p. m. in the meeting room. Please note the day change due to Easter. Election of officers will be held at this meeting. The ladies will not have a Communion Sunday in April.
Easter Rolls will be available for picked-up on April 17 after 12 noon in the rectory meeting room.
The Knights are warming up the skillets for the fish, picking the green beans and peeling the potatoes getting the ready for the Fish Fry on Good Friday, April 18 from 3-7 p. m.. Adults: $9, Children: $5.
Blessing of Baskets -Saturday, April 19, will be held at St. Mary’s Social Hall at10 a. m. and St. Jude Gym at 1:30 p. m.
Icon Class-Experience the joy of writing (painting) a Byzantine style icon with Iconographer Kim Fritzges. Each class will begin with prayer and the Holy Spirit will guide you as you create your icon. Kim will demonstrate each step of the process.
All supplies and instruction are included in the cost of the workshop: a 9 x 12 professionally prepared wooden panel, Jo Sonya Artist quality acrylic paints, various sized paint brushes, varnish, pattern, printed instructions, and 23K gold leaf for the halo. Cost is $200.
All you need to bring is a prayerful attitude. Artistic talent or experience is not required.
The icon that will be done in class is Christ the Lover of All which is on display at St. Jude’s in Mountain Top. Classes are Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 in the school cafeteria. April 23 to June 18, 2014. Please note there is no class Wednesday, May 14. The Youth Group is having their Spring Vera Bradley/Coach BINGO on Sun, May 4. Doors open at noon, and BINGO starts at 1 p. m. Proceeds benefit the mission trip to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Baskets of Hope-Members of Girl Scout Troop 33320 continue collect household items to be placed in gift baskets for women of Ruth’s Place, an emergency housing shelter for homeless women in Luzerne County. Boxes will be in the social hall until the end of April.
There will be a Bazaar Meeting on Monday, April 28 at 7 p. m. in the dining room All stand chairs are asked to attend. Please be prepared to give a short report for your stand, including your list of volunteers who will be working your stand.
